Drestakil
Drestakil rode up to those familiar gates. The guards recognized him and let him through without ceremony. The stable boy took his horse and smiled at Drest, "It's good to see you back, Milord."
Drest chuckled, "You have no idea how good it is to BE back." And it was true. This was home in a way that Salisbury and Lichfield couldn't be.
"Whose carriage is that?" he asked the boy. "It looks awfully....royal."
The boy looked over at the carriage, "That's Queen Cordelia's. Her and her bunch got here earlier today." He pointed at another carriage, "That one is Lady O'Neill's. Lady Sutton is here and there's a man came with the Queen and Richard is here and the Queen's maid, who, if you ask me, he's sweet on...."
Drest held up a hand to stop the flood of information and family history about to pour forth. "Thank you very much and make sure you rub down my horse before you leave." Drest turned around, pulling his gloves off and slapping the dust from his pants. He entered the main door and almost knocked Richard over.
Drest grabbed him, "Oh, so sorry, Richard. I didn't know you were standing there." Farther down the hall Lori, the Queen's maid, was standing. "Hello, Lori. Good to see you again."
He swept past Lori, grabbed a kitten off a table. The tiny thing was about to knock a vase into the floor. He held it, petted it, calmed it down and walked into the main room. Yes, there were Kenna and Gina. Cordelia was sitting close to a young man Drest hadn't seen before. Or maybe he had. His memory for people had never been the best.
"If I were a suspicious man, this would be a very suspicious scene. I can see all sorts of rumors popping up concerning a meeting of the former Queen of England and certain members of the Mortimer Family."
Drestakil chuckled, "But...I'm anything but suspicious and so such things would never cross my mind." He held the kitten up, "Does this terror belong to anyone?"
