Nothing like baking cake for pleasure i suppose. Aye it is a popular tavern and i suppose they need as many people as they can get.
He smiled as he looked around the tavern and the crowd of people who were already there. It would get busier during the night he guessed. He then nodded at Lilith's words and sipped his ale. His eyes followed her to the little girl with the pig bladder football and he remembered when he used to play it with his friends back where he was born. He wondered what ever became of them, he lost touch when he moved to Beeston, perhaps he will go back to Sheffield one day and see if he can find out. He smiled at his childhood memories, then he shook his head and looked at his ale. Why was he being so nostalgic recently?
The little girl and Lilith came back to the table and he made room by moving his chair slightly. He felt slightly akward that the little girl was staring at him, but he just took another sip of his ale and looked to the football. He was glad when Lilith asked the girl a question and he smiled, "HikUps!" Then he laughed and took another sip of his ale as he watched Lilith push hers away. He then returned the smile to the little girl. Something in her eyes made his instictly move his hand to his side to make sure his sword was still there. Maybe it was just his human nature of wanting to protect the younger children and women in the tavern. He also realised his shoulders were tensed up at the thought of someone coming in the tavern and attacking everyone. He thought about the time his ship had met Anto's off the coast of the Isle of Mann and smiled. He took another sip of his ale, his mind was definatly buzzing today but that was good, his senses would be more alert.
