Hello Baldar and Dan. Dark old night for you to be on the road riding. Nice and warm in here. Duke Aragorn, you have a case of the dramatic there I see.

Hearing the bookcase start to creak, Michelle understands that the Earls secret chambver is opening and soon the Duke will be revealed. Standing she starts to sing in her best voice. Here comes the Duke, he comes the Duke, you may be surprised, by your very eyes, for here comes the Duke. And like some magic act from the theatres of London and Paris, the Duke was suddenly sitting in amongst them,. smiling and greeting them all.
Caitilin
Caitilin's smile was for one man only when Baldar entered the room. Duty was their life and she knew it. They had served together, fought side by side. Their second son was born right here in Merrywether Fortress during the war. She blushed when the Earl had spoken of her gaze that had settled on her husband. Aye, my Lord Padriac, I see no handsomer man within the company than my husband.

She smiled and stepped to Baldar's side and kissed him softly. Welcome, my beloved Lord. I'm glad that you arrived safely. Allow me to have something hot brought from the kitchen for you.

She was about to find a servant when Michelle began to sing. She turned in the direction of the noise from the wall and found his Grace, Lord Aragorn, sitting in the the room. Caitilin curtsied to the Duke but raised an eyebrow at his antics.

Laughing at the sudden song and then sight of his Brother Aragorn all but hurts Jibbs in the gut. After composing himself he stands and draws peoples attention.

I think it is time to present a report put together by Ruby Douglas in consultation with the QuarterMasters and the Viscountess Caitilin. Jibbs opens a scroll by breaking is wax seal. Then he starts reading it aloud.

The Brotherhood is made up of 3 main sections, Knights, Militia, Associates.

Knights
We have 45 Knights throughout the 3 Kingdoms. Our Knights live and breathe Military Service 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Rarely will you find them tending their farms or trades, although you may find them in the Uni learning their craft.

Militia
We have 57 Militia throughout the 3 Kingdoms. Our Militia are primarily farmers and tradesmen who give over a dedicated period of their time for Military Service, and in times of crisis are full time soldiers.

Associates
We have 51 Associates throughout the 3 Kingdoms. Our Associates are framers and tradesmen, not Military people at all. They are only called on to serve in the most dire of times. They donate a good portion of their weekly turnover o the Brotherhood, which allows us to keep our Knights and serving Militia on the coal face, funded, supplied, and active. The Associates are coordinated through out Quarter Master Division, who collect store, trade and distribute the supplies.

It is through the diligent work of our Associates which allows us to keep our Military forces on the road traveling, patrolling etc 27 days out of 30 on average.

The details of this report are true as of the 1st day of the year 1459.

Are there any questions on this? Jibbs looks around the room.

As the night the progresses Bligh walks the battlements with the Castle Patrol. As the come to the south western corner they find a couple of lads refilling the watch fires with coal and thickened timber. Normally a cold stone face of a night, with so many Lords and Ladies in the company of the Earl and others expected in this snow storm at any hour the battlements were well alight. Watching qas the lads worked fast and with well trained hands Bligh held a smile within.

Quietly stepping into the room Marklin passses the Earl an envelope from Lord Pendragon.
--Giles_of_brotherhood
Back he went out to the Court Yard then into the Castle. The night may be drawing to a close but the Lords and Ladies showed no sign of slowing down their discussions.
--Blackbird.douglas
The morning sunlight was a welcome distraction from the cold wintry night. The snow had stopped falling some time in the last hour. The clouds scuttled across the sky, leaving gaps that allowed the sun light to penetrate deep into the valley.

With the coming of day break Blackbird turned her horse towards the Fortress. Knowing that patrols would have already been dispatched for the coming day.

* with the coming of the morning light the meetin g started to wind up

tiredness seemed to start to take control of many within the warm confines of the library

Paddy ad his bed chamber sorted
the twins their own
the Duke took another for a few hours sleep before he rode off on his never ending mission for Cumbria
Baldar and Caitilin took the remaining bed chamber for their stay ere at the fortress

some of the others retired to bed reserved for them in the barracks, while others were in no mood to sleep, looking at the rising day as a challenge that needed conquering
so some of them headed off back to their homes and places of businesses throughout the County
while the last of them plotted a day of hunting a certain bear that was known to be bothering a village to the west
with a gut full of good whiskey, the courage that comes of being tested in many battles, and the knowledge that all was quite calm in the world they headed out on the hunt

watching them ride out Paddy laughed and laughed

oh the youth of today

some things just never change
Jamie.douglas
Riding out on the hunt Jamie gives his Liege Lord a hearty salute and wishes him well for the day ahead.
Jibbs.graham
With the coming of day light the meeting came to a close. Jibbs was staying around to meet the Earl later. He was not interested in a hunt, nor a patrol. Today he needed sleep and a clear head for his upcoming meet with Lord Padriac Douglas, Earl of Aylesbury, Chieftain of the Douglas Clan, Lord Protector of the Blood Oath Brotherhood. Nervous that he may be sleep still came easily and was much needed.

Greetings,

Returned to Keswick for supplies. No work in Carlisle for decent survival. Request supply dump for tavern test. Not urgent. Please advise.

Caitilin
The morning sun stabbed at Caitilin's closed eyes. Sometime in the night she had drifted off, curled up in Baldar's arms. How she had gotten to the bedchamber, she really didn't remember. It was the whiskey that flowed so readily the night before that now clouded her mind. Her stomach rumbled as she stretched her arms above her head. The room was chilly, for the night's fire had dwindled to a few tongues of flame licking at the last of the wood set there.

Cait's voice was a mere whisper as she greeted her husband. Good morning, beloved. She kissed him softly and pulled the covers up tight to her neck and snuggled close to share her husband's warmth.

It was not long before she drifted once again into sweet repose.

Rustling quietly, he pulled down the great cape that had covered him in sleep. He had situated himself the day before, in a quiet and darken section of the great room of Lord Padriac. He had watched and listened as many had made presentations and voiced opinion.

Some with intelligence and devotion. Some with their usual arrogance and elevated self worth. Politeness shown to all by the family of Douglas. It had been an informative day and night of exchange. He had little to input, so had remained quiet and out of the lime light.

He had sat up late with Lord Padriac. They still had the close relationship that had developed when he had served as his squire. Much information that he bore was of such a confidential nature that it was only to Lord Padriac's ears that it was spoken. Even then, alone in the great room, he had spoken in low and hushed tones.

But the night or morning was already near when he had fallen asleep alone in front of the fire place. Some time during the early hours the fire had gone out and he had pulled the cape up and over him. He could hear people moving about, as he arose and stretched. He must go to the kitchen to check on Old Turoq. He had been sure he would die during the night. He dreaded going to awaken him, for what he might find.
