The Castle sure does look good up there in the hill.

Sure is mate, must be good to stay in the one place all the time, but that not the life for me.

Ya know that the Lady SnowLynx is as well travelled as our Lord Paddy and Lord Maximus. Frankie, we stick with them and we will see the world, of that I am sure.

* riding into the Castle across the drawbridge, the Brotherhood retinue brought their horses to a halt, dismounted and started to coll themdown and see to their horses needs. Working quickly under the direction of the Castle stable lads, all of the horses were brushed down, and the various tac gear stowed neatly.

* Whether it be the newesr recruit, Kyle, through to Lords Paddy or Nic, they all got in and looked to this daily requirement. Nic went amongst the troopers inspecting their work.

Talebot, yet again you are effortless in your duties, good work. Sydney, you need a tad more wax here lad. Fady.T, nice work, very nice. Come on lads, we are of the Blood Oath Brotherhood, we respect our horses, and our gear, I want to see everything shining and well sorted before we move off to the barracks for a meal.

Wolfmist nodded and thanked the guard and paused... before fishing into his pocket for a spare gold dubloon he had picked up from the Weald, the major casket of the treasure stored safely at his castle, "For your trouble."

Moving on, placing hand to temple when the hangover headache panged slightly, going downstairs into the dining room. It was set out pretty much like it was at dinner last night, only the placemats were a different colour, and smells of greasy fried breakfast were wafting in from a few doors away. He decided to wait for signs of life, standing up but leaning on the chair where he had sat last night.

Cait had ridden most of the day in silence, not because she had nothing to say, but because she had listened to the others and as usual, could not get a word in edgewise. "And they say women talk a lot!" She giggled quietly.

She was stiff and tired when they entered the courtyards of Merriweather Castle after their patrol. A long steaming bath would have been so nice. Maybe her cousin, Snow, would grant her some hot water and a large tub to soak the day away. Cait dismounted and started to the stables to groom Dancer when she turned to Paddy. "Thank you, Sir for allowing me to come along today." She continued on her way and attended to her mount.

Leana
Lea sat for a moment watching the men spar. She had wanted to participate, but the headache was beginning to worsen now, probably as a result of the alcohol she'd consumed the night before. "Never again..." she thought as a particularly sharp crack of a shaft caught into her head. Instead, she took the time to ponder what the Lady Snowlynx had taught her; Angkor had had yet to delve into the mental aspects of fighting. Now that she thought of it, she recalled a few of their later sparring matches and how some of the Lady's tips might have helped her to not make a fool of herself.

After a few more minutes, Lea stood and made her way back into the house to see if Wolf had woke. She retraced her steps back to her room. It was, however, empty. Her stomach sank oddly. "Did you really expect him to stay? He probably got angry and left you here...why would it matter to you anyways?"

"I don't care...really, I don't.." Flustered, she shut the door, set her staff in the corner, and rummaged in her carisak for a change of clothing. She found a rich, sea green tunic and trousers made of softened leather. Bee had protested loudly to making them for her, saying she didn't have a single article of clothing appropriate to a woman's position.

When she'd changed and tied her hair back into a neat braid, Lea ventured out into the hall, letting her feet take her where they would...which happened to be where her stomach wanted to go...the dining hall.

The room was empty but for one person, and she could feel her face heating instantly. She'd look like a cherry in no time. "Goodmorninghopeyousleptwell...I...er...need air.." she turned around and wandered in another direction.

* Riding through the Cumbria countryside ertainly was good for the soul. This being just a few scant Miles from many ancestral Douglas Family lands. As the drizzle became stronger, into a decent rain. This died away as he came into view of the Castle MerryWeather.

* Coming up to the drawbridge, he stopped and talked to one of the Castle Guards

Greetings, I am Fronz of the Brotherhood. I bring dispatches for Lord Paddy from Lord Maximus.

* With that Fronz passed over the drawbridge into the Castles yard. Another of the Castle Guards came forth and took his horse.

Thank you, I will not be staying long. Where may I find Lord Paddy at this hour?

* Then from the otherside of the yard, Sydney, a Brotherhood Squire came forward
Wolfmist_pendragon
Wolfmist turned, saw Lea, heard her mumble and chased after her, "Leana! Oi, come back here! Lea..." he caught up to her and tried to place a soft hand on her shoulder, "hey... what's up?"
--Sydney_of_the_brotherhood
Hello Lord Fronz, good to see you Sir. Were you asking after Lord Paddy?

Ok, please come with me, I will take you up.
Fronz.douglas
* Fronz follows Sydney across the grounds, up into the Castle interior. Coming into the hallway, Fronz is greeted by another guard, and shown into a library.

Thank you.

* Here he waits for Paddy, Knight Marshall of the Brotherhood.
Blacknick
* entering the Library, Nick and Fronz spend some time catching up and discussing Fronz' recent trip up into Scotland.

read your reports mate, very interesting that you met with Tosher in the Tavern, and then with the Steward in the Highland Halls.

Did you see Uncle Hamish?
Fronz.douglas
Tosher is an outragous liar in the taverns, full of lots f whinging and loud boosts. While JO is plain rude in his talks. Not wanting to hear from anyone who does not live in Scotland, and I bet then would not listen to any not agree with him. Both came over as bigots and loud mouths.

As to Haish, ahh he is well and living well, his farm seems very lonely with only himself, but he is flourishing.

"Don't turn around...don't turn around.." she said quietly to herself as she walked quickly toward the front doors. But the footsteps behind her were too fast and caught up to her quickly. Her stomach rose out of the pit it had dug itself, and her heart seemed to leap up into her throat as his hand fell onto her shoulder. Her mind filled with confused and muddled thoughts.

"Nothing's wrong...I'm just not feeling great this morning." she said. It wasn't a lie, yet it wasn't really the full truth either. For some reason, she couldn't bring herself to meet his eyes.
Wolfmist_pendragon
"Was it me? Did I do anything wrong?" he paused then a flood of enlightenment came to him. "Ah... I'm sorry. I didn't realise that I.. but we didn't do anything... right?" he looked at her hard, but a scent of uncertainty crept into his voice. He then realised that people were walking about nearby. He pulled her aside into an empty guard room serving as some sort of cloak room. "Tell me... we need to talk about this."
