Time had come.
And when the time comes, it always seems scary.
Locked in the Chapel of the Palace, the Emperor was praying in a total silence. He used to enjoy these moments of calm and peacefull, that were getting more and more rare, as the charge he had to deal with was becoming more and more heavy.
Since he had been elected, he did not have a lot of time for himself. In fact, these moments of single-praying could be counted on one single hand, and were part of his little pleasures.

It was the early morning of this thirteenth of January MCLDXI. In a few hours, he will cross the city of Strasbourg to enter in the Great Cathedral, and will be crowned, by the wish of his subjects, and under the watchfull eyes of the Almighty.
Around noon, it's on his horse that the Emperor arrived at the Cathedral, surrounded by his guards, devoted and loyal.
A lot of citizens were in the streets for the occasion, and it was difficult to hear something, even if someone was speaking directly into your ears.
He reached the entrance of the Cathedral, and wait a few minutes to enter. It was not yet the time. But soon ...
