(ORP) Royal Parade & Coronation of King Cullan Holifard

Angelrachel1119
" ' Tis good to see ye as well brother." Angel said hugging her elder half brother back before taking her seat next to him and Edwardus. " The seats are fine brother." Angel said with a smile. " Aye, indeed I didst enjoy the parade very much brother especially thy story about St. George and the dragon." Angel said quietly as she noticed the coronation was about to commence.

After the wedding, Julianna quickly kissed Ruith's cheek and slipped into a nearby building, which was owned by a friend of her father. There her dress for the evening and her mother's beaded shawl were waiting for her. She hadn't wanted them ruined by the treats she knew her nieces and nephews were bound to eat during the parade portion. Looking down at the dress she was wearing, she saw evidence that her youngest nephew had indeed left honey covered hand prints on her skirt. With some help of the owner's wife, Julianna quickly changed in to her red dress.

"No wonder Lord Ruith is so proud of this dress," her benefactress remarked. "It's beautiful. Here's the shawl. You better get going."

Julianna put on her late mother's shawl and ran back out to catch up to Ruith. While she felt a little bad making him wait, she knew that he would understand her wanting to protect the dress from dirt and damage. Taking his arm, she followed him into the cloakroom.

Shortly after the invitation arrived in Strassbourg, the Imperial ambassador for England took a boat over the Rhine, the Merwe past his house in Rotterdam and found a ship to London. Duke Romerio, his fellow counsel member , was also harbour master and found him a nice vessel for a good price to sail on.

Now after some strong winds he finally arrived in London, and after changing in his most elegant clothes, he made his way to the Tower of London. Such a difference setting from the coronation of the late Emperor, his father and the rulers of the Empire there after, who got their crown in the largest cathedral even build.

After showing his credentials Anthonis entered the room, which was full. It was clear he entered the event in the middle of it, but it was impossible to know. A bit lost he looked around to see a familiar face...
Chris_braveheart
After the wedding ceremony, Chris finds one of the guards who had been protecting the Orb and secures it from him and makes his way to the procession line for the Coronation. Finding his place between Princesses Jasmine and Cordelia, who he smiles and chats with, he awaits the procession to begin...

Leading Applus through the Abbey she found the Tudor family pew where Kalens told them to seat, he was right it was the perfect spot. They sat where she hoped were their places and watched the ceremony in silence, remembering when to reply and when not to.

Cullan
Cullan grit his teeth, ignoring Lark's comment. Thankfully, Lavea had slipped them into a side-chapel - though it was barely larger than the votive rack it contained. He looked up at his wife, sighing with exhaustion. He leaned against the wall as the ushers gently brushed the velvet for the final show. Eyes closed, he slid his hand into his waistband and grabbed Lark's flask. He tipped it back as the surcoat was slid around his arms. Thankfully the rest of the morning he'd get to sit. He raised a tired eye to glance around the room. It was somewhere to keep in mind. You could barely see it from the church - the perfect location to hide a Dragon Guard or two. He slid a glance to Aggnes - no. She didn't seem the type for a little 'fun'. Or any fun, really...

But he hadn't married her for that - and she understood, thankfully. He reached out for his wife's hand, steadying himself under the weight of the surcoat. The robe was pinned to his shoulders quickly. He hid the flask back into his clothes and squared his shoulders. Now was not the time to be tired. Now was the time to be King.

Slowly, the pair entered, prepared to begin the procession when Lavea gave her order.

He looked down as Edwardus made the comment. He shook his head gently. "Lady Eira will not be joining us, as she is part of the coronation ceremony. It's one of the many reasons I chose these seats." He said.

"I definitely intend to spin one more tale.. Perhaps two before the festivities end." He also stated with a smile. "I will not disappoint you Edwardus." He lowered his voice and glanced behind him, waiting for the coronation to begin.

Eponine_llewellynn
Eponine watched the wedding ceremony and thought it was the oddest wedding she had ever seen ... the ceremony was short and did the bride and groom had a little argument? She could not hear what had been said, but their facial expressions were relatively explicit. She had expected more ... perhaps a little display of love and affection? But then she thought that not all marriages were based on love, especially not those of Kings and Queens. Perhaps this one was one of those politically convenient marriages or they were just very good at hiding their feelings for each other in this public affair which was kind of expected of a King and Queen. After the wedding, she entered the Abbey, still pondering about the wedding ceremony. She carried no weapons and made her way straight to the family pew where she saw Aertan and Kazzia. "Hello Aertan, nice to see you. Kazzia, you look absolutely stunning. I love your dress.", she said with a smile, before sitting down next to them.

Between ceremonies Julianna rushed off to change into her best dress. Ruith waited outside of the abbey for her return, watching the crowds of people file past him into the building. He hoped Julianna wouldn't take too long, so they had to enter after the ceremony had begun. The crowd had thinned by the time she returned, but it seemed other ladies had had similar ideas to Julianna, so they were not the last to enter. He looked at her appraisingly when she arrived in her red dress.

"You look beautiful," he told her, offering her his arm.

In the cloakroom he was asked to surrender his sword. He did this gladly for he only wore it while travelling and was unused to it beside his leg. He would have left it at the inn had his carriage not been so late in arriving.

They stepped into the cavernous abbey, its great dome echoing the sounds of hundreds of voices and looked for a seat. Most were already taken and only here and there could he see occasional spaces among the pews. He looked to Julianna for her preference.

Having been at the at the Abbey quite a few times she knew the short cut to the families pew. Dressed in her fine Uniform of the KoTH she decided this time she’d sit and be comfortable. Smiling she slipped into the pew sliding closer to Kazzia grinning as she mouthed hello to Aer and Eponine.

Noodle
Once the ceremony was complete and the crowd moved up the stairs into the abbey, Noodle found Jesse and took the ceremonial sword from him, thanks for holding onto this for me - I think I would have got some funny looks standing behind the King with a blade in my hand!

Noodle looked over the sword and entered the abbey.

Noodle stood at the back and awaited his moment to step forward.

Eira
Eira was nervous, it was an unexpected honour to be part of the crowning ceremony. She had dressed simply, though sumptuously, in a gown of azure and silver silks reflecting her coat of arms. She hoped it was suitable for so grand an occasion.

The Eagle Ampulla, was cold and heavy. She prayed she would not drop it, wondering if that would be an act of treason, as well as incredibly embarrassing.

She took her place in the line up for the procession, nodding politely to those already gathered there. She felt she ought to curtsy, given the august company she found herself in, but didn't dare risk overbalancing and dropping the sacred ampulla.

Maybe it was his recent past that made him feel so... casual at these things. There was a distinct lack of ceremony when he was in Ireland. More... anarchy to be told. To be back in merry England with all its protocols was more then a little disconcerting at times. He should have been flustered at getting ready for the parade and riding with all the other military orders, but that was nothing really. One army is the same as the next, even if its on the parade ground. Though to be honest it did feel good to be marching on home soil once more.

It was lucky for him though that he had the head of his order with him through out it all. If it wasnt for Knight Commander Emrys, Robert was sure he would have done something... odd and out of place that would have instantly labelled him as foreign... even though he had only just taking a side trip that lasted more then a few years. Never the less sitting through the wedding made him really finally realise that he was back in England, that he was finally back with his brothers and sisters in the order.

His train of thoughts brought him back to the here and now though as he noticed the change of pace at the end of one ceremony. A coronation for a new King... he thought as he watched the coronation ceremonies begin
