(ORP) Royal Parade & Coronation of King Cullan Holifard

Zywiec
At Kiane's surprised look, Zywiec is unable to suppress a giggle, though she keeps it quiet and discreetly hidden behind her hand. She most likely won't admit that she, herself, had thought the small lad belonged to Irish, even though her brain knows the triplets are so much older. It seems time always passes faster than one realizes.
Before taking Kiane's arm, she makes one last quick check to make certain the Royal Canine Units are maintaining their measured intervals as they patrol the perimeter of the Abbey grounds. She makes certain two are stationed at each entrance as Irish leads their entire group into the Abbey to find a seat. Zyw is pleased to note they seat themselves in a pew so that she and Ranger are able to remain next to the aisle. While they watch the procession wend its way toward the altar, she links her arm with that of Kiane, thinking this is one of the very rare times when she is on duty yet Ranger is not her only companion.
Kristin
Krissy was so relieved when Cornish turned back and took hold of her hand. London always scared her when they came to visit, and this occasion made it worse, with the huge crowd and all. She held on as tight as she could and sat down in the place where he indicated.
Cornish, my love, please don't ever leave me behind like that ever again. Promise?
She leaned over to kiss his cheek. She wanted him to know she wasn't angry, but she had been really afraid of being alone in that crowd.

She was impressed by the huge cathedral - in the meantime she felt lost more then ever since she had arrived. Where to go now, or where to sit? She looked around helplessly.

Fortunately, she heard a familiar voice from behind her shoulder. As she turned, she saw Robin approaching with his family and an unknown lady.
Robinoflocksley wrote:
"Lady Melodia? Why don't you come sit with us?" Looking at his family again, he induced everyone. "Lady Melodia, this is my wife, Llyres, our sons, Adam and Alex, and this is Brittany's Chambellan, Lady Anne Solenn Wolback. Everyone, this is the Hungarian Ambassador, Lady Melodia Pia Nissa."

Suddenly she felt an immense relief, mainly when Lady Llyres joined her husband and greeted her kindly, introducing one more Lady.
Llyres wrote:
"Ambassador Nissa, it is a pleasure to meet you and this is Lady Revan Anne, will you all join us. The procession is about to begin."

Nissa smiled back to everyone in the group.

- Lord Robin, thank Jah you find me in this huge crowd, there are so many people here...And thank you for the invitaion, I am glad to accept it.
- Lady Llyres, the pleasure is mine. I have been waiting for the occasion for a long time to meet you personally, and I am happy the time has come now.
Adam and Alex, nice to meet you too.
- she smiled at the children. "Robin and Llyres must be very proud of them" -she thought to herself.

Then turned to the Chancellor of Brittany and curtsied politely.

- Enchanté, Madam. It is a pleasure to meet you. I hope your journey was pleasant from Brittany.

Finally she greeted Lady Revan.

- Milady, it's an honour to meet you, too.

Hardly had she finished her last sentence, when the bells rang again and an alleluia chant rang out. The procession started. Nissa took her seat quickly next to her new acquintances and followed the events excitedly.

She moved forward as her turn came, holding the sceptre as she would hold a sword on parade. The ache that began building in her shoulder reminded her that while she might be recovered from her long illness, she was still nowhere near the strength she used to have.

Hopefully this wouldn't take too long.

"Ah, our Mercian dragon is fortunate indeed, in having not only one, but three doting mothers," she chuckled, "and we are all here today!" She slid along the pew slightly to make room. "Please do join me, I would be delighted to have some company," she smiled, "and I was hoping to have the opportunity to congratulate you on your groomsman role… it was excellent to see a well-known face up there in the wedding party!"

He laughed back at Amethise, as he seated at the place next to her. You three mothers surely raised on heck of a dragon. You should be proud of what you've done and I'm sure the rest of England must have enjoyed the show as well. He paused a bit and thought about her comment of him being one of the groomsmen. To be honest, I was a little suprised myself to be up there. I'm just glad I didn't make a complete fool out of myself up there. He chuckled a bit, as he heard the church clock and rumour in the back. It seems it's time for the next ceremony. Let's she if this is as quick as the first. He smiled, before turning and looking to the back of the Abbey.

The page arrived just as they were about to join the procession, and Aggnes raised an eyebrow at the news. "That'll be interesting, I don't think I've ever met either of them. Right, lad, run and tell Lady Lavea. She'll need to adjust seating for the feast."
She turned back to Cullan - to her husband. "Don't worry about that, or anything else, till this is over," she said softly. "The team can handle it, that's what they're for, and they're good."
He looked tired already, and the way he'd been almost clinging to her hands worried her. A Cullan who wasn't fighting and insulting her was a Cullan with problems, and that needed sorting, right now. Just as she'd done for her councillors and other protégées when they needed support, really.
"That tea should start working very soon," she said even more softly. "Until then, hold on to my arm as hard as you like, that's what I'm here for. Together, remember?"
That was assuming it was the physical aspect that was the problem...
"You made the commitment to this job months ago. This is only the formality, the paperwork, for something you're already doing, and doing well. The hard part is already over, so don't stress about this."
Now she just had to hope that the idea of a compliment from her didn't throw him into shock. But they joined the procession without either of them falling over, and she was free to admire Taarna's singing as it filled the Abbey. The acoustics were wonderful, it sounded like angels singing from the high roof, as if the sculptures up there with their stone instruments had come to life.
The Abbey was full - well, a few empty family benches, where notables were abroad, or ill. She half-registered heraldry and faces as they processed up, but most of her attention was on Cullan, and on moving in that remarkable dress.

Lynx was doing her best to keep up with Vigfast and Nynane, it was so crowded she could hardly hear the thoughts in her own head and was thankful she could rely on Vigfast to lead her in the right direction.

When they were finally seated she drew a sigh of relief and looked around to see if she could recognise anyone when she heard her name and turned her head and noticed Monsterix by Vigfasts side.

Oh hello there Monsterix! What a pleasure to see you again! Where is your wife? I hope she is doing well, she said, probably sounding much happier than she would have during more normal circumstances, but feeling like she was alone with a whole nation of strangers made her delighted to find a familiar face.

"Thank you," Amethise grinned, genuinely pleased by Galrador's enthusiastic response to their work. "I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and I trust that others did, too! For myself, I felt privileged to be part of the small contingent representing Mercia in the parade of dragons."

She shook her head slightly at his self-deprecating comment about being a groomsman. "You played your part to perfection," she smiled, "as indeed everyone in the wedding party did their part -- and you all looked so elegant!" After a brief pause, she continued thoughtfully, "I enjoyed the service. Once I'd adjusted to its rather unusual brevity, compared to previous weddings I've attended, I realised it was simple, touching, and really all that was needed. I doubt that the coronation will pass quite so swiftly, though… but I must admit that I enjoy the spectacle!"

As she spoke, music began to play, heralding the start of the procession. It was soon followed by singing: beautiful, almost ethereal voices seemed to ascend to the very rafters of the ancient building, then permeate throughout the whole vast space; a tingle ran down her spine as she listened.

Watching the procession make its way slowly up the aisle, she couldn't resist murmuring (lowering her voice, so as not to unduly detract from the proceedings),
"Oh look, there's Lord Kalens!" She somehow stifled a childish urge to point…

Bree almost laughed right out loud at Tyg's observations. It was always a pleasure to be in his company.

Old?! I would never ever say...nay dream...of suggesting so...

While Tyg was ruminating over posh dress, purses and shoes Bree made a show of straightening her skirts and brushing them down, the whole time with a smirk on her face.

Well, Lord Northwich, you make a massive assumption that I know of shoes and hats, but truly, someone has to have knowledge of such things!

Bree could barely contain her laughter when Tyg began complimenting her and she let it come forth.

Thank you, Sir, you look quite ravishing yourself..for a gent, that is. And it is my honor to be allowed into your presence for such a grand event.

"My awesomeness aside, how are things down in Devon ? Are scones and tea still a thing ?" he inquired standing up, ready to clap in greeting the royal couple

Arkrantos realized as he reached the back of the Abbey that he was likely a little late. Certainly later than he had planned.

He drew the Sword slowly from the clothe the blacksmith had returned it to him in. Arkrantos knew the sword was ceremonial, but it was no excuse for it being blunt.

He found his spot and slotted in as the first sword to be presented.

Not too late thank Jah. He whispered to the bearer behind him.

Anne and Maewenn made their way to where Robin and Llyres were standing. She was happy to see them again and smiled broadly to his two sons when he introduced them. Then she hugged Llyres warmly .

It's been a long time since we saw each other! I'm glad to be here with you. It's such a happy day. I enjoyed the parade immensely.

Angel sat as quietly as she could lost in astonishment at how lavish the abbey truly was. Angel was taking everything in when she heard an angelic voice singing " Alleluia." She wasn't sure where the voice was coming from at first nor whom the enchanting voice belonged to. She looked about trying to figure out where and whom the voice belonged to. She was even more astonished when she realized the voice was coming from Taarna. Angel turned to Edwardus and in a hushed tone said, " I know her. She is a delightful lady." Angel resisted the urge to wave at Taarana and instead placed both her hands folded neatly upon her lap. If there was one thing Angel enjoyed more above riding her horse Beauty and drawing it was singing. Angel herself had an amazing voice but not many people knew about her hidden talent. She silently sang along with Taarana barely moving her lips so as to not draw any attention to herself.

Grinning at Tyg's jest about tea and scones she nodded along with his assumptions. Oh yes! We have them every day. Blueberry scones are especially in season right now. She looked up at him and winked then followed his example in standing for the entrance of royalty.

Siren
So much pageantry and spectacle yet Siren has missed it all. It's not her fault, but she is grumpy about it all the same. Right at the start of the parade a dog had run out in front of her horse, frightening her usually steady steed and causing it to rear up. Totally unprepared for this, Siren had managed to slide right off the horse and onto her bottom on the ground. This is not the first time that Siren has fallen off a horse, no indeed. She had fallen out of trees and off from rooftops too. This is the first time she has fallen as a pregnant noblewoman with an entourage however, and that is what complicated matters a great deal. Before she even had a chance to get her breath back enough to say 'ow', her guards were around her and carrying her off out of sight. She was taken straight to the house of a local doctor and things were explained to the learned man. Siren kept on trying to say that she was fine, but the good physician insisted on giving her a thorough check over, muttering that she was foolish to be on horseback in her advanced state of pregnancy and that she could have lost the child. That last admonition was enough to silence all of her other protests and cause to her place her hands protectively on her belly. He was right of course and she should have probably taken more care. So while all the fun was going on outside, her guards were recapturing her horse and she was stuck inside. Eventually she was cleaned up and fixed up so she was able to leave.

She makes it to the Abbey just in time for the coronation but is heartbroken to have missed the wedding.

"And I was so looking forward to that too!" She mutters and earns herself a harsh glare and a shush from someone nearby.

Frowning, she sits down and then winces. She manages not to make another sound but she does sit forward a bit, taking her weight off her poor bruised bottom.
