I looked was in a hazed and confused state after dinner. Picking up Elvira knowing she was dead cause of how limp her body was over my shoulder. I held back my tears all the way to Rhi's house, laying Elvira's body on the couch. I stayed by Rosa's side while Rhi checked and when I found out about Elvira when mouthed I went to my knees and stayed there. I then noticed Rosa going to a chair and sitting down. I went next to the chair and held her hand. I will do as you tell me Rosa. I'll go to Greg and have her family notified especially Brad. I ran over to Greg's house slamming my fist knocking hard and fast to get Greg over to the door. GREG GET OUT HERE NOW!!!

Uuuugh...

She shouldn't've gone with Rhiannon to the tavern. Though she had not been there long, she realized that Elvira was a well-loved, well-respected member of the Bathian society. She had to be, considering the way her sister was pounding back drinks like there was no tomorrow. With children and her cousin depending on her, she was not acting as she should've.

However, it wasn't totally the drinking that bothered her. Her stomach had been gurgling and churning in the most horrible way. It wasn't painful, but she could feel the contents of her gut demanding out- NOW. Quietly so as not to disturb her sister, she stood to walk to the nearest chamber pot- only to feel the feeling in her belly intensify. She ran to the pot, stooped, and hurled into it miserably.

Afterwards, Bronwen had been aware of Rhiannon holding back her hair, and then, of kind tavern patrons handing her things to help her- bread, water, a damp cloth.

Rhiannon led her back to her seat, staring at her knowlingly.

What?
I think you know what.

She did, too. It was too early to know for sure, though.

Gregarious
Gregarious answered the door wondering who could be so demanding at this time of day?

Spar........

Hearing Sparhawk's news Gregarious' mind flashes to Herrero (he'd never received permission to think of her as Elvira) and Sir bfp. they had been in love, very real love it was evident from the times Gregarious had met them in the tavern, many of his happier memories flash before his eye's.

Suddently he remembers the previous night in the tavern. He thought he had fallen asleep. He'd seen Herrero and she had asked him to tell her family. He didn't understand at the time. Her family? I am a guard to her family, but tell them what? Now he thought he may know.

Numbly Gregarious replies:

OK, I'll need two horses Spar it's a long ride to the De Balboa House and I think that is where I have to go.

Meda huddled in the branches of her favorite oak, lost in thought. She hadn’t been feeling too well for several days, though nothing a bit of rest and food couldn’t cure. She’d decided to visit the town center earlier that day, hoping for a bit of a spirit-lift. Instead, she’d learned of the death of her friend, Elvira. It seemed unbelieveable; she’d just spoken with her days before.

Meda shivered, chilled more from sadness than from the cold air. Death never sat well with her, especially that of one she knew. It just didn’t seem fair that someone in the prime of her life, seemingly lacking nothing, would have that taken away in one sweep. Meda could only imagine what her husband was going through, and her family. Meda assumed that Greg, as Brad’s squire, would be the one who’d have to bring the news to Elvira’s family. She didn’t envy him the task.

A cough escaped Meda’s throat. If she didn’t get inside soon, her exhaustion was likely to make way for a cold to take hold. She climbed slowly down from her perch, weary more in spirit than in body. As she made her way home, she glanced up at the sky. Maybe it was just her imagination, but it seemed even the sun had withdrawn its warmth in mourning.

Gregarious
What am to say sir?

I just learned of her death my self. Her shade in the tavern has bid me inform her family. You are aware, the Family De Balboa is not.

I think as well that it is not my place to inform you. I think that is the right and duty of someone closer to you. I am your squire but we are still newly met. I think it is the right of someone of higher station than myself, someone you have known longer than myself, someone you would call friend, not squire.

I can imagine your pain this moment my lord. I grieve at your lose. I grieve for myself as well, she will be dearly missed. If you must take your anger out here, on me. I will not flinch from you. But I beg you, let me accomplish this final instruction from your wife. Let me inform her family.

Gregarious stands to, to receive his lords anger
-fromENSparhawk21
I noticed Brad at this time after talking to Greg. Greg we just found out a hour ago. Please don't be so angry. It is not Greg's fault. I stepped in between Greg and Brad. Plus I know I would hit Greg too, you shouldn't. If you are going to hit him you must hit me first. You make walk up, but you'll be limpin back. Brad we are friends so please I'm just trying to help. We are all sadden by your loss, you are not the only one. I looked at the ground finally shedding a tear after holding it in for so long, because of having to talk about Elvira.

Brad he did not know. Don't you understand that he just found out from me. This time I was a little bit angry as if Brad was on a one minded rampage thinking everyone is against him. No one is against you Brad we are all gentlemen here. You are acting foolish though.
Gregarious
Gregarious gets down on his knees and puts his hands in front of him as if to prey

I swear before god and all the hosts of heaven. Had I but known that you had not been informed I would have saught you out first and formost. You were her husband, you have the right to be informed first, I am derelict in my duty as squire and friend.

I know not how to make this up to you. But given the chance I will do everything within my power to prove myself faithful to you.

Now, may I fullful my last duty to your wife? Please.
-fromENLucullus
Patrolling the streets of Bath, Constable Lucullus heard a voice being raised in anger. Picking up his pace, he found Brad, Spar and Greg, and he could sense Brad's combined anger and grief from yards away. Approching, he grabbed Brad on his shoulder.

"Is there a problem here sir gentlemen?" Lucullus asked as he faced Brad. "I would hate for you to be making this more difficult than this already is my dear sir Brad. I beg of you to not act foolishly. Grieve you must, but i would hope you do not take it out on your fellow bretheren."

Lucullus removed his hand from Brad's shoulder, raising both of his arms in a gesture of surrender.

"Please gentlemen, let us have cooler heads prevail."
