The Colony of Bath

Wins
Tending to his field once again wins didnt really put the effort into this harvest as he usually would. He does his days work and heads straight home leaving it bagged ready for the goods to be picked up later on.

On his way home he seen jane on the river side and spent a little more time with her. This time they played and giggled like they never really had done before which cheered wins up. A feeling of joy he hadnt felt for a while rushed through him and put a big smile on his face as he gives jane a soft kiss on her cheek before leaving with her and walking her to front door step.

The next few days wins tends to his daily duties and is a little busier now working on his plans to form the best squadron in the sas. He still visits the taverns often and meets many arrivals to Bath. Wins is again happy in his beloved town and maybe the town of Bath could still hold some suprises for wins... but time will tell....
Rosalynn
After parting from the group she traveled with on the return to Bath, Rosalynn digs her heels into Neptune's flanks setting him to running all out towards home. Upon her arrival, a messenger awaits her and as soon as she comes to a stop, he dismounts, approaches her and hands her the note. She pays him a tip for his trouble, then after leading Neptune into the barn and to his stall, she pauses long enough to read the note. After reading it, she emerges from the barn and flags down the messenger before he can leave, and hands the note back to him, saying, "Please deliver this to Lieutenant Gregarious, thank you." He nods acknowlegement of her instructions and heads for Gregarious' homestead. Rosalynn returns to Neptune and after removing the riding gear and her pack, she brushes him down, refills his water trough and food bin. Rosalynn tries not to dwell on the upset she must have caused to her husband in her sudden flight from Bath several days prior, but the thoughts aren't easily supressed. She leaves the barn and heads for the house, trepidation tries to slow her steps but the excited thoughts of seeing Sajanzv again puts a spring into her step as she hurries towards the house. She cautiously reaches for the doorknob and opens the door hesitantly, poking her head through the gap, she looks around inside, looking for signs of life and calling out, "Saj? Yooohooo! Saj? Are you here?"

Gregarious receives a messenger

Hmm. OK well we should probably raise the alert level in town, just in case.
Wins, Tweety, Giangio alert your troops. Seems the marauders are on the move. Let them know to keep their weapons handy. We will keep a lookout.

Perhaps some of the lance should be sent to the lookout just in case. They can return quickly if anything odd is happening out there.

Sierra walked along the same stretch of road she had been on with Wins the other day. This time she was alone and certain she would not get any surprise visitors. Wins had left town abruptly and had made it clear his previous actions would not be reoccuring. She sat along the waters edge and stared into the water. It baffled her how things had changed so quickly. She felt disillusioned and a little angry...maybe more angry with herself than anyone else.

She resolved that this would be a time in her life to reflect and ponder recent events and what direction she now wanted to go.

Her eyes were deep pools of thoughtfulness and as she starred into the water, her reflection betrayed her inner most feelings....

"What a fool I have been..."[/i]
-fromENDarell
This afternoon, as Darell was coming back from his field, he saw Sierra near the river ! She was setting here and starring into the water ! She was looking very sad ! Darell approached her and asked what was wrong with her ! She didn't answer and her face was very dark ! So, he tried to change her mood, he jumped, danced and made faces near the water and finally it happened what had to happen, he fell in the river !
Because of the fun of the situation, Sierra began to laugh, she was not able to stop, she was roaring to with laughter ! Darell was contrite, but finally he started to laugh too ! They spoke a long time and finally when the it was time to say good bye, Sierra was no more sad, and she knew what direction she now wanted to go !
After having left Sierra, Darell went back home and told all his day to "Marguerite" his cow ! After that, he went bed and thought to the funny time he had near the river ! Again a good day spent !

"One axe please!" I said to the axe loaner. I grabbed it quickly and headed off to the forest. Cutting wood was the only thing I could do nowadays, as the job market seemed sluggish lately. A few days ago, I joined the SAS, armed with a stick. Everyone there was tough, but friendly.

Suddenly, I heard a splash from the distance. I turned around and saw someone drop into the river! His head popped up of the water soon after, and at that moment, I simply couldn't control my laughter, and almost dropped the axe on my foot!

"What a great day!" I said to myself as I continued the journey to the forest.
Rosalynn
Not receiving a response to her query, Rosalynn enters the dark house. She wanders aimlessly room-to-room in search of signs of life, but finds only dustbunnies that have gathered. Surely she hadn't been gone that long? Failing to find Sajanzv or the twins in residence, Rosalynn leaves the house and goes next door to see if the twins are still there. Perplexed as could be as she'd been gone 5 days or so and surely Sajanzv had picked them up from there by now. She winces as she remembers she'd forgotten to leave word as to where Rhoswen and Tanvir were left, she prays silently that he was able to locate them before now.

As she reaches the nextdoor neighbor's door, she knocks on it and is about to panic when a response is long in coming in answer to her rapping on the door. Sighing with relief as the door is opened, her heart sinks to her feet at the expression on the neighbor's face. Rosalynn asks as she tries to supress the anxiety she feels,
"Has Sajanzv been here? Are the twins still here? Are they okay? Is he okay?" Her voice rises sharply as she sees the look of alarm on the other woman's face as she shakes her head. "Nay, we've not seen Sajanzv of late. But calm thyself, the twins are well and here, safe and sound for ye."

Catching herself as her knees try to give way such was her relief in regards to the twins' safety being confirmed, Rosalynn holds tight to the doorjamb to steady herself as worry for Sajanzv overcomes her. The woman invites her in and while Rosalynn sits to gather her wits about her, the woman gathers the twins' paraphenalia together, settles them into the pram tucking their blanket over them. When all is in readiness, Rosalynn gets to her feet, and after thanking the woman profusely for taking such good care of the twins', she pushes the pram out the door and towards home.

Refusing to stop long enough for her worrisome thoughts to overwhelm her, once home she quickly bathes Rhoswen and Tanvir, redresses them and after laying a thick quilt on the floor, she cuddles and holds them like there is no tomorrow. As their eyelids grow heavy, she feeds them and then lays them in their cradles to sleep. She, herself, feeling not in the least bit sleepy, moves quietly around the house, cleaning and setting things to rights. It had been a trying few days away and not knowing if Sajanzv was safe or what had happened to him was wearing her down.
Diannathedaring
A second field! Dianna was thrilled that she'd been able to borrow that last bit that she needed to buy the veggie field from Vilkacis. She had no doubt that with the income from the second field that she'd be able to pay back the loan quickly. As much as she appreciated the loan, she hated to be indebted and wanted to get the books clear as quickly as possible.

As she walked along to gather the produce from her new field, Dianna heard a loud splash coming from the river. Concerned that someone might need help she dropped her hoe and gathering basket and ran toward the sound. With relief she saw Darell rising wet and only a little weed speckled from the bank of the river. SierraJane was there with him, laughing like she wouldn't stop until at least Good Friday. Now that might have seemed unkind except that Darell had a huge grin on his face as well. Sierra had been a bit blue lately and knowing Darell's kind heart, he'd likely been clowning to make her feel better and ended up landing in the river. Dianna, thankful all the more for good friends, chuckled, gathered her dropped tools, and went on her way to the vegetable field.
Arcanejill
Jill stood up after another long day in her office. Placing her papers in neat piles, she shut the door and started the short walk home. Despite the added stress of being the mayor, she felt good about her life. Smiling to herself as she arrived at her doorstep, she was pretty sure the reason for her good mood was on the other side of the door.

"Hello love," she greeted her husband, followed by a lengthy kiss.

"Yer happy today."

"Just couldn't wait to see you."
Wins
Walking back into Bath from the Salisbury road end of town late in the evening and looking a bit worse for wear after a couple of drunken nights, wins heads straight home for a good nights sleep. As his eyelids get heavier and he finally falls into a deep sleep

BANG rattle rattle Clunk....

wins jumps out of bed wondering what the hell that was hitting and running down the side of his roof as he runs to the door quickly pulling it open. To his suprise no-one was there but as he looks into the distance he catches a glimpse of a dark shadow of someone disappearing around a corner.

Wins is not sure how long he is back in town for as once again he feels the urge to stretch those legs of his and go on the road again. First he must get a good nights rest so his mind is clear in the morning before he makes anymore rash decisions.
Gregarious
Well me piggies how you doing today

What a day. We are missing half the members of the Bath SAS. We are going to have to put together a chain gain I think and hunt down those that are absent without leave. Tension between the town ranks within the SAS is growing as well. I'm not sure if that is good or bad. Pride in one's town is essential. But we have to remember that we are all members of teh Somerset Armed Service, not the Bath SAS or Chard SAS.

Lady_Brianna is in town for a quick visit. It is really good to see her, but I am afraid she is missing her husband. Not that that is surprising, it has not been that long.

Sierra's birthday is on the ninth. I will see if I can find her something to surprise her with. We may not be as we were but she is still special to me.

I have not heard from Abrianna in a very long time. I wonder what has become of her. I don't even know where she lived, it will be difficult to try and track her down.

Well time to check the doors and rattle the windows. An honest days work for an honest days pay.

Eat my friends, grow my pets, make me proud.
Gregarious
Well me piggies how you doing today.

I have surrendered the chief marshal's position I am now free to travel. I have done this as Sir Martur is in town. A highly respected Knight of the Realms of England. I will join his train as he tours England for the last time.

So no checking locks or rattling windows anymore. I will miss it but I must stop as now I would be a peeping tom. We can't have that now.

I do not have reports from all the members of the SAS. It is disappointing I had hoped we were more active than this by now. I may have to step in and bring the press gangs to some homes soon if I don't receive some information.

All right I need to get myself in order. I have to travel tomorrow. The first time me piggies since the adventure to Scotland. I will miss you, but I should be home much quicker this time.

Eat my friends, grow my pets, make me proud.

Sparkawk had tried his best to make arrangements to escourt Sierra dn Lady Catherine to Scotland for the chriistening, but neither he nor Jill were able to make the trip. Sierra paced the room trying to decide what to do. She and her mother certainly could not travel that great a distance alone. Gregarious had recently left town and would certainly have much to attend to when he returned. Winsalot...well, he was not an option at the moment. It would be good if she could find someone who would enjoy going to Scotland as much as she....maybe....maybe....Willie! Of course! She would ask her cousin Will! He would love to go! He might not be able to get away but it was worth asking. She sat down at the table and began a letter to him:

Quote:
March 7, 1455

My dear cousin,

I hope this letter finds you and your lovely fiance well. I trust your trip to Evesham was uneventful and your move has progressed without hinderance. My particular reason for writing is to ask you a great favor. My mother and I have been invited to Scotland by my sister who has recently given birth and will be having the christening soon. Sparhawk was unable to acompany us and I thought of you as a welcome second choice as I know you would love to make a trip to Scotland and you are such spendid company! My invitation extends of course to Avena, if she is well enough for such a long journey. We could use my mother's coach on the way there and then horseback for the way home, as my mother will be staying in Scotland after this visit.

Please let me know soon as I would like to write my sister to advise her of our plans. If you are too busy at this time, I completely understand. At the very least, please know your presence in Bath is missed greatly and I look forward to when we will meet again.

Your loving cousin,
Sierra

She summoned a messenger and soon her letter was off to Evesham. Hopefully, within a week, she would have an answer back.

Jellysnail sat at his wooden table wondering how time had drifted by. He thought about what he had achieved in his last year, what he had done to deserve to live another year. He thought about all his old friends and where they were laid to rest now. The last year had drifted by like a dream, and wondered when he would wake up.

In 3 days time, he would be another year older.

Wins
It seems wins only spent the one night in Bath before heading of to Bridgewater and making his way to Chard. Seeing a few friendly faces on the road is always a pleasure but this time it seems one angry fellow had different plans and tried to steal wins fruit of him between Bridgewater and Chard. Wins did'nt really want to take part but made short work of the angry fellow once he insisted.

Enjoying his stay in Chard wins aborts his travels to Exeter as he remembers he must get back home to harvest his field. He sets off back to Bridgewater early the next morning.

On his way back to Bridgewater wins is confronted by the same angry fellow again demanding wins to hand over his goods but wins again demolishes the angry fellow this time throwing him around for a bit of fun before dealing him the blow that sent him to the ground crying.

Arriving in Bridgewater wins spends a couple of drunken nights there before he makes his way back to Bath to harvest his field. Wins is now selling his field and wants a new profession.

As soon as his wheat was harvested, the next day wins placed his wheat field on the land market hoping he will get some offers soon

Wheat field price is up for negotiation if anyone is interested
