Charta of the Aquilae Imperatoris Preamble (1) The Aquilae Imperatoris are under the control of the Emperor of the Sacrum Romanorum Imperium Nationis Germanicae (SRING).
(2) The Aquilae Imperatoris protect the life and integrity of the Emperor of the SRING, as well as the life of Their family and Their counselors.
(3) The Aquilae Imperatoris protect the SRING against all enemies.
(4) The Princely County of Vaduz is the headquarters of the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(5) The Aquilae Imperatoris strive for a good relation of all legal armies and orders.
§1 Commander in Chief (1) The Commander in Chief is the Emperor of the SRING. They have a veto right.
(2) In case of unavailability of the Emperor, the Regent temporarly becomes the Commander in Chief
(3) As well as the Emperor, the Imperial Marshall has the same rights as the Emperor. They also manage the Aquilae Imperatoris.
§2 High Command (1) The General is the high commander of the Aquilae Imperatoris and reports to the Commander in Chief.
(2) The General is appointed by the Emperor and stays in charge until they are substituted by the Emperor or one of their successors.
(3) The General holds the rights and duties related to the Princely County of Vaduz during all his mandate.
§3 Chief of the Imperial Escort (1) The chief is recommended by the General and appointed by the Emperor. He reports to the General

(2) Determine the travel route and have it approved by Aquilae Imperatoris's General
(3) Lead the escort of the Emperor during His travel
(4) Communicate with local authorities to obtain security information related to travel
§4 Imperial Escort (1) The Bodyguards of the Imperial Escort are led by the Chief of the Imperial Escort.
(2) If the Emperor need bodyguards, he can choose some of them in the Aquilae Imperatoris
§5 Staff (1) The staff advise the General and lead the Aquilae Imperatoris together with him.
(2) The duties of the staff members are described in the annex.
(3) Staff members having freedom of speech and voting rights are:
- General
- Major
- German Captain
- French Captain
- Italian Captain
- Dutch Captain
- Chief of the Imperial escort
(4) Staff members having freedom of speech only are:
- Training Officer
- Intendant
- Marshal of Arms
§6 Structure (1) Soldiers who are not in the bodyguard team shall remain in their Regional Headquarters.
(2)The Aquilae Imperatoris split up into four Regional Headquarters:
- the German Headquarter, which is responsible for the County of Augsburg, the Margraviate of Baden, the Duchy of Bavaria, the Principality of Mayence, the Burgraviate of Nuremberg, the Duchy Steiermark and the County of Württemberg,
- the Italian Headquarter, which is responsible for the Republic of Florence, the Republic of Genova, the Duchy of Milano, the Duchy of Modena and the Republic of Siena,
- the French Headquarter with the ODL, which are responsible for the Franche-Comté, the Duchy of Lorraine and the Duchy of Savoie,
- the Dutch Headquarter, the "Leo Hollandicus" army based in the viscounty of Dordrecht, which is responsible for the County of Holland.
(3) Each Headquarter is led by a Captain.
(4) Each soldier is under the command of the Captain of the headquarter, in which he stays.
§7 Mission (1) The Emperor may command missions at any time.
(2) Regents of the SRING may ask for help from the Aquilae Imperatoris. The Commander in Chief decides about those requests. During those missions, the provinces are in charge of victuals for the soldiers and of replacing destroyed equipment.
§8 Armed Retinues / Groups (1) The Aquilae Imperatoris have unlimited freedom of movement on the whole territory of the SRING.(2) Provinces will be informed about active groups of the Aquilae Imperatoris. Therefore the leader announces their name and residence, as far as there are no contradictory reasons. The captain decides if a reason is contradictory.
(3) The founding of an army has to be announced to the local council.
§9 Prescribed language (1) The official language is English.
(2) Orders, announcements and notices are published in English. The captains are in charge of translating those into their language.
(3) Training is given in the local language whenever possible.
(4) The soldiers have to regard the right of speech of their comrades.
§10 Membership (1) Every citizen of the SRING can apply for membership at the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(2) An application needs the following information:

Place of residence
Strength
Armament
Experience in Military
Reasons to join (text, no head points)
(3) The Captain decides about the application in agreement with the Training Officer. The Training Officer decides about the need for training of the applicant.
(4) The members can belong to Political Organizations
(5) The members get suspended from duty if they carry out active policy (Ministers, mayors) until ending the period of service.
(6) During periods of inactivity the members can carry out city services (forums, tutor, deputy prefect)
§11 Responsibilities of the Soldiers (1) Each soldier must behave in exemplary manner at all time.
(2) Each soldier has to behave respectfully towards supervisors and comrades.
(3) Each soldier obeys to their supervisors.
(4) Each soldier confirms their will to serve the Aquilae Imperatoris by signing a treaty (oath).
§12 Disciplinary measures (1) Each supervisor may declare punishment (like cleaning the latrines) if a soldier misbehaves.
(2) A legal punishment by a court for roberry, treason or high treason leads to an immediate exclusion.
(3) Other legal punishments by a court lead to a reproval.
(4) The third reproval lead to an excision.
(5) In case of insubordination the Major decides about the punishment after a hearing of the soldier and the supervisor.
(6) Each soldier may request that the General verifies the punishment.
§13 Knights (1) Soldiers who render outstanding services to the Empire can be knighted. The General can recommend a few valorous soldiers to the Emperor who can decide to dub them as Imperial Knigths. They swear oath directly to the Emperor.
(2) Soldiers who render outstanding services to the Aquilae Imperatoris can be knighted by the General from the land given by the Emperor. They are considered as Knight of the Aquilae Imperatoris. They swear oath directly to the General as owner of the land given by the Emperor.
(3) Soldiers who render outstanding services to the Ordre des Lames can be knighted by the Grant Master from the land given by the Emperor. They are considered as Knight of the ODL. They swear oath directly to the Grant Master as owner of the land given by the Emperor.
(4) A withdrawal results in loosing the title and dignity.
§14 Distinction (1) Extraordinary Soldiers are recommended to the Emperor of the SRING by the General.
(2) Distinction for missions are donated by the Emperor.
§15 Vacation / Abscence / Movement (1) Travels inside the territory of the SRING have to be announced as early as possible. The soldier stays available for missions.
(2) Retreats have to be announced to the local Captain as soon as possible.
(3) Travels outside of the territory of the SRING have to be announced and will be authorized, as far as there are no contradictory reasons.
§16 Reports (1) The General report every 14 days to the Emperor and the Imperial Military Counsellor about all topics concerning the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(2) Therefore the Staff members are required to write a report.
(3) The Emperor and the Imperial Military Counsellor may demand reports from every Staff member at any time.
§17 Heraldry and Ornaments (1) The Marshall of Arms of the Aquilae Imperatoris is in Charge of the Heraldry and the Ornaments concerning the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(2) The Marshall of Arms is subordinate to the Imperial King of Arms and has to be confirmed by him.
(3) The Marshall of Arms maintains the armorial of the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(4) The Marshall of Arms leads every ceremonial occasions inside the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(5) The Marshall of Arms is member of the Imperial Heraldry Council.
(6) The King of Arms is entitled to review the work of the Marshall of Arms at any time.
§18 Training (1) The Training Officer coordinates the training.
(2) The Training Officer has to provide a good training for every soldier.
(3) The Training Officer appoints the soldiers and decides about the instruction documents.
§19 Funding (1) Sufficient funding shall be provided from the Empire to assist the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(2) The funding shall be used to buy food, equipment or cover municipal taxes for the soldiers of the Aquilae Imperatoris. It shall be managed with diligency.
(3) A detailed Register shall be maintained by the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(4) At the election of a new Emperor, accounts shall be reviewed between the Imperial Chamberlain and the Aquilae Imperatoris.
(5) A minimum fund of 500 pounds shall be kept by the Aquilae Imperatoris for its needs.
§20 Modifications of the Charta (1) The charta is enacted by the Emperor of the SRING.
(2) Modifications can be voted by the Staff with a simple majority and authorized by the Emperor.
